ETHOS Technology Awards $17,000 Grant to Hunger-Free Pennsylvania

Funding will help to provide food assistance to low-income Pa. seniors

HARRISBURG, Pa. (Sept. 29, 2026) — Hunger-Free Pennsylvania, a statewide network of food banks and charitable organizations, announced today that it has received a $17,000 grant from ETHOS Technology to help combat food insecurity and expand access to nutritious food for Pennsylvanians in need.

The contribution will help Hunger-Free Pennsylvania provide low-income seniors with food assistance, supporting the organization’s ongoing work to ensure older Pennsylvanians and other vulnerable populations have consistent access to the food they need.

“We are incredibly grateful to ETHOS Technology for recognizing both the urgency of hunger in Pennsylvania and the difference that targeted investments can make in people’s lives,” said Sean Kerins, Interim Executive Director of Hunger-Free Pennsylvania. “Too many people often face having to make difficult choices between food and other necessities. ETHOS’ generosity will have a direct and meaningful impact, and we appreciate their commitment to helping communities across Pennsylvania.”

ETHOS Technology is a Philadelphia-based security consulting and technology integration firm that has made philanthropy a core component of its mission. The company aims to contribute 30 percent of its quarterly net profits to charitable causes and has supported initiatives addressing food insecurity, clean water, education, health care and mental health. Previous efforts have included supporting 50,000 meals through Philabundance, a Hunger-Free Pennsylvania member.

“Food insecurity was an important focus for ETHOS Technology this quarter, and Hunger-Free Pennsylvania was a natural organization for us to support, along with several other school districts that received donations,” ETHOS Founder Nick Pier said. “We were inspired by their statewide reach and the meaningful work Hunger-Free Pennsylvania is doing to improve access to food in communities across Pennsylvania.”

ETHOS describes its mission as providing pragmatic security solutions while making a meaningful impact through philanthropic initiatives. Its broader commitment to “impact beyond security” focuses on using the company’s success to support organizations working to improve lives and strengthen communities.

The $17,000 grant will support Hunger-Free Pennsylvania’s statewide efforts to strengthen Pennsylvania’s charitable food network and help ensure individuals and families experiencing food insecurity can access nutritious food in their communities.
