Pa. Congressional Delegation Supports TEFAP Waiver Request to USDA Secretary Perdue

The Pennsylvania Congressional Delegation joins PA Department of Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding by requesting a continuation of The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) waivers for the requirement to collect client names and addresses and verify income eligibility through September 30, 2020. If granted, this will ensure the population HFPA serves continues receiving uninterrupted benefits essential to their health and well-being during this crisis.


During the COVID-19 pandemic, these waivers enabled the Pennsylvania food distribution network to provide 2,220,397 households and 5,566,294 individuals with 64,331,211 pounds of food! Read the letter here:
